This course introduces students to the history of the Christian church in the west from the New Testament era through the nineteenth century. We will study notable (also ignoble!) events, persons, and movements, as well as doctrinal issues, the Reformation, the relationships between church and state, and church and culture, and the spread of Christianity around the world. Throughout our investigation of things past, students will be reminded that church history is His Story and of the importance of knowing these things in order that we might be His Church and His light of the world in our day. Students must have good reading skills and an eagerness to learn.

***This class is on a 3 year rotation with Worldviews being offered in 2013 and Creation Science being offered in 2014.
