We will focus on basic grammar, vocabulary, and everyday situations. We will study several verb tenses including present, past/preterit, and commands. We will also study cultural aspects of Spanish culminating in each student completing a report focused on a particular Spanish-speaking country chosen by the student. Students will practice speaking Spanish through class activities and the reading of dialogues. Note: This class meets for 1½ hours.

At the beginning of the Spanish II book, we will review much of the grammar of the first book focusing more on the details and will be placing an emphasis on the mastery of these skills through free writing and speaking exercises. We will also focus on speaking more Spanish than English in the classroom to encourage and practice good pronunciation and form. Note: This class meets for 1½ hours.
