Prerequisite:  7th Grade Math or its equivalent.

Pre-Algebra includes fractions, decimals, mixed numbers, signed numbers, order of operation, percentages, proportions, ratios, rounding, place value, scientific notation, and many word problems.  Students will be simplifying and evaluating algebraic expressions, determining the solutions of equations in one unknown, and studying geometric concepts such as perimeter, area, and volume.  Note:  this class meets for 1 1/2 hours.  A graphing calculator (TI-83 Plus or TI-84) is recommended for several lessons but not required.  GRACE does not order these books and the Home School Bookstore does not carry them.  It will be your responsibility to obtain these books from Pearson Products by calling their toll free number 1-800-848-9500.
