This course is geared to help young men and women learn to tackle many home improvement projects and repairs. The class covers all the handyman basics, i.e. mechanical leverage, tools, fasteners, indoor & outdoor construction, electricity & electrical wiring, low-voltage systems, plumbing, small engine repair, basic automotive maintenance, and lots more. By applying their knowledge and experience, students learn how to save money by attempting projects on their own. For example, each student will learn how to perform a disc brake job. If they do this just one time on the family vehicle, as opposed to taking the car in for service, they can recover the entire tuition for this class. Each class begins with a prayer and spiritual thought that is relevant and appropriate for every handyman or handywoman. Students not only learn handyman skills, but they also learn how to build materials lists, calculate costs, estimate labor and manage projects. Mr. Trinklein is very excited about teaching handyman skills and working with young people. His goal is not only to help students learn these skills and have a lot of fun in the classroom, but also to provide them with something extra that will give them an advantage, regardless of the career path the Lord leads them into.

****This is a 2 hour class
