PowerPoint is an application used to create materials for presentations called slides.  These slides can contain text, graphs, Word Art, and other objects.  This class is helpful for students who will be giving presentations in college or in the work place.  Students must have experience in computers, such as saving to a flash drive, some knowledge of the toolbars, and how to work them.  It is strongly suggested that you take Microsoft Word before taking PowerPoint. Students will work independently through assigned chapter exercises in class each week followed by a written test and assessment test at the end of each chapter. There will also be 3 projects throughout the year in which students will create their own PowerPoint presentations (based on specific guidelines) and present it to the class. If needed, students will be allowed to work on their computer assignments during other computer class hours with teacher approval. The Home School Building is assessing a $35 computer lab fee for each computer student.  This charge is included in the cost of the class.  GRACE does not order these books and the Home School Bookstore does not carry them.  It will be your responsibility to obtain these books from Paradigm Publishing.  You may order this book by calling Paradigm Publishing at 1-800-535-6865 or check out their website at www.emcp.com.
