This class is not only a must for any student who is considering college, but also those that will be entering the workforce. With hands-on experience in Microsoft Word, your student will learn how to save to a flash drive, design documents and letters, create tables, graphs, clipart, and word art. We will be covering mail merge, labels, find and replace, drop caps, and the list goes on. Your student will not only finish this class with a strong foundation in Microsoft Word, but it will also be a stepping stone in advancing to other Microsoft Office Suite programs. Students will work independently through assigned chapter exercises in class each week followed by a written test and assessment test at the end of each chapter. Most students are able to finish assignments in class each week, so it is not absolutely necessary to have the program at home. If needed, students are also allowed to work on their computer assignments during other computer class hours with teacher approval. Your student will receive a flash drive the first day of class. Cost for this is included in the class cost. The Home School Building is assessing a $35 computer lab fee for each computer student.  This charge is included in the cost of the class.  GRACE does not order these books and the Home School Bookstore does not carry them.  It will be your responsibility to obtain these books from Paradigm Publishing.
