Microsoft Excel is heavily used for its spreadsheet, database, and reporting capabilities.  This software has the functionality of multiple software programs.  MS Excel is probably the most productive software package in the Microsoft Office Suite.  It allows for data storage and callback, organization, reporting, formulaic processes, and it can even build programs to suit the needs of individuals, homes, or businesses.  This class would greatly improve employment opportunities for the student as this could be a skill added to your resume. Students must have experience in computers, such as saving to a flash drive, some knowledge of the toolbars, and how to work them. It is strongly suggested that you take Microsoft Word before taking Excel. Students will work independently through assigned chapter exercises in class each week followed by a written test and assessment test at the end of each chapter. The Home School Building is assessing a $35 computer lab fee for each computer student. This charge is included in the cost of the class.
