Introduction to 3D Animation - (Grades 9-12) +
Teacher: Mr. John Datema
Time: Friday 12:45-1:40
Class & HSB Cost: $240
Book: None
This class will give students a first hand look at how 3D animation applications work by learning the basics of Blender 3D, an open-sourced, fully functioning, 3D animating, rendering, and post production software. Students will learn to work with many of the different tools that professional 3D animators use. These include mesh, curve, subsurf modeling, camera work and angles, lighting, texturing, materials, particle effects, key frame animation, 3D rendering, UV mapping, and much more! The student should have an interest in this area and preferably previous classes in software as the Blender 3D application we use is very complex. Students will work with various objects and art to gain experience in creating in 3D what the imagination holds! The Home School Building is assessing a $35 computer lab fee for each computer student. This charge is included in the cost of the class.
