  3. Internet access
Science and Lab Credit
Prerequisite: Students must have successfully completed one course in Algebra. Students must also know the basic trigonometric functions (sine, cosine, tangent) and how they are defined on a right triangle. They should also be familiar with how to find the inverse of these trigonomic functions on a scientific calculator (sin-1, cos-1, tan-1). Although not required, students should be proficient in word processing.

As far as the East is from the West…Physics begins with the difference between distance and displacement and connects to how displacement of sin is the same for all, but God’s forgiveness covers all that distance. Then it continues with gravity, motion and forces. It touches on torque and relates it to broken relationships that may need the right force in the right direction, in order to bring healing. Additional topics include vectors and direction, static equilibrium, and tension, and is connected to the tension that may be needed to keep us still and at peace in the palm of His hand. Optics, and how an image is either magnified, reduced, virtual, or real is connected to our being made in the image of God. There will also be a research project, and group presentation on waves. Math is the backbone of physics, and you will come out with an even stronger knowledge of math and physics as it relates to God’s creation. You will be well prepared for continuing in College Physics after completing this fun and gratifying class that includes both lecture and lab.

This class is available for Articulation Credit with Davenport University (click for details).
