Teacher: Laura Marsman

Description: Chemistry is a further study of the perfect and orderly design of our Creator! This course will include the structure and properties of matter, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, and kinetics. Hands-on laboratories will be used to reinforce these topics each week. Students will learn critical analysis of science, how to write a quality lab report, and how chemistry affects us in our everyday lives. There will be several projects throughout the year to help the students understand many of the concepts we cover. My goal is to make Chemistry relatable and enjoyable!

Class and Material Cost: $550

Book: Apologia Exploring Creation with Chemistry, 3rd Edition

Prerequisite: It is very important that your student is proficient in math knowledge and skill at the Algebra I level to take this class.
